The Blackberry 9700 Bold White Is A Great Looking Mobile

Blackberry has a reputation for producing versatile handsets with unparalleled build quality, whilst remaining sought after, stylish handsets. The 9700 Bold is certainly no exception, and is now available in an appealing white colour scheme.

 

For storage of data such as music tracks or video clips, 256MB of internal storage is provided. A micro SD slot is also included for the same purpose which includes a pre-installed 2 GB memory card. This can be upgraded to a memory card of 16 GB, allowing plenty more storage. The internal phonebook features Photocall and can store a vast amount of contacts.

 

Handsfree talking is made possible thanks to a speakerphone and audio jack. MP3 files can be assigned as ringtones allowing customisation of the handset, so users can hear the song of their choice whenever the phone rings. This works alongside vibration to alert users to incoming calls and messages.

 

An organiser and voice memo recorder add to the productivity and everyday functionality of the 9700 Bold White, as does the document viewer. This is compatible with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, and is sure to appeal to business users. The versatile media player accommodates a variety of different formats of music and video files. A selection of pre-installed games and access to a library of downloadable games are included to keep users entertained.

 

The built in digital camera boasts 3.15 mega pixels (2048x1536 pixel resolution), so the quality of still images is very good. Image stabilisation, LED flash and autofocus are all included which simplifies the tasks of taking quality photos. As an alternative to still images, the 9700 Bold doubles up as an effective video camera.

 

The dimensions of the 9700 Bold are 109x60x14mm and it weighs just 122 grams so is comfortable to hold and a pleasure to use on the go. As the name suggests, the colour scheme is an appealing white. The front of the handset sports a full QWERTY keyboard for efficient text entry.

 

As with most Blackberry phones, a range of connectivity options are utilised. To connect to cellular networks, both GPRS and EDGE (both class 10 versions) are utilised in areas lacking 3G coverage. In areas covered by 3G, internet access is via HSDPA at speeds of up to 3.6 Megabytes per second, and Wi-Fi allows a faster internet connection wherever an internet router signal is available.

 

 

Its appealing colour scheme as well as features offering functionality for both business users and entertainment fans make the Blackberry 9700 Bold a true all rounder which ticks all the boxes.
