Cell lphones are part of our daily routine life. No one has without the cell phone nowadays. It has become an important part of communicating with one and all at any time & at any place. There are lots of variety of batteries are available. In the first we had the Nickel cadmium (NaCl) batteries in the first generation. These were easily can buy. The only difficulty and drawback with this battery was that each time it had to be charged, the battery would have to be unplugged & taken out and charged again. There will be memory effect also. After later the Nickel Hydride (NiMH) batteries are came to market. The Nickel Hydride is very less affected by the – memory effect & the battery also cheap only. The batteries had to be charged after every 20th cycle. Now we had the Lithium Ion batteries (Li-ion). Even though they are quiet costly, they have a lot of beneficial things. And these are not overwhelmed by the ‘memory effect'. They need not to be fully discharged & then charged again at the time of recharging the batteries. Now in the market we had the advanced lithium polymer batteries.

It is most excellent & very best to know which type of battery is well-matched for the cell phone utilized by you. This will helps the recharging of the batteries simple & support us in retain the cell phone battery. There are several do's & don'ts in managing the mobile phones. This will lengthen the lifetime of the batteries. The mobile phone batteries supposed to be charged for only 3 or 4 hours. In excess time of charging will harm the battery. In most of the periods, the mobile phone should be put in the ringing mode. If the mobile phone was kept in the vibration mode for a long time, the battery will consume faster. There is a display showing light which comes on when we turn on the mobile phone. It must be kept at the least. Therefore it does not consume too much of the battery. At the time of traveling we need to take care of our mobile phone. In the ordinary phones and digital phones, digital phones had a 100 to 200 hours stand by time in the digital mode, compared to analog mode it is only 30 to 40 hours. The best way is to switch off the mobile phone in the analog area. This is very best for the batteries.

The cell phone must be switched off at the time of changing the battery. It is required that you should use the original chargers for charging the mobile phones. If the duplicates are used, the batteries will be affected. When a cell phone is not being used, it is very best that you take out the batteries & keep them uncharged, in a cool dry and dark place.
