MLM Success: Going Beyond Attraction Marketing
No legitimate conversation regarding achieving MLM success can be had without discussing the utilization of attraction marketing. Attraction marketing entails positioning yourself so your prospects find you. In other words instead of attempting to sell individuals on your opportunity you make yourself available so those interested can find you.
However the question remains once your prospects find you, do they like you? I refer to the art of building report and connecting to your prospects via the written word and internet technologies as MLM Seduction. By “seduction” I mean it more in the sense of “courtship” not to be confused with anything devious.
For those of using attraction marketing we can determine how well we are “liked” in a couple key ways. For one we look at conversion rates. The higher or rate the better we are doing at our real goal. We are not merely looking to attract prospects but persuade them into some course of action.
This is where many fail. They are so focused on “getting traffic” and presenting their opportunity to as many people as possible that they totally forget the human element. In fact we all fall victim to this mentality on occasion. Did you know that 99% of e-retailers fail? As MLM distributors it would be advisable to step back and appraise or “likeability” every once in a while.
For example, many make the decision to build a website to attract prospects, deliver their message and automate the prospecting process. But they immediately put up a pitch page, storefront or affiliate marketing promotion. This leads to the ultimate vote of dislike, the back-button.
So how do you take attraction marketing to the next level? Your level of MLM success will be directly proportional to the level of service you provide. Do you want people to like you? Then do something of value for them.
This should not simply be looked at as another packaging of the traditional marketing pipeline, sales funnel stuff. The intention behind providing “free information” in various forms accessed through a lead capture page and so on is usually selfish. Obviously these techniques work but the MLM prospect is much savvier than the average consumer.
To really stand out in this industry you need to devise a way to go beyond providing information. If you were to reverse engineer what the true MLM leaders are doing in our industry you would find that they establish mutually beneficial relationships. They devise ways to help others while simultaneously building their own businesses, credibility and reputation.

Another technique would to have a programmer develop an application for you or provide free consultations to struggling network marketers. The idea is to be of value. The more value you deliver the more you tap into the power of reciprocity as well. If you do a really good job of helping your prospects they will look to work with you in an official capacity as well.
MLM seduction for MLM success is just another way for putting yourself in your prospects shoes. What does your prospect really want? If you answer that question the next step is simple. Give it to them.
