Suppose you wish to add an MP3 file; in this case, you will need to first find your way to the MP3 file which by default will be located in the Media Music or Media Card. Now, locate an MP3 file that you wish to add to your Blackberry ringtones.

This you can do by scrolling to the file, selecting it and then pressing on the Menu button. Now, perform the following step: Set As Phone Tune. Once this is done, you can then click the OK button to agree that you wish to add this MP3 file to your Blackberry ringtones. This is all it takes to add MP3 songs to your ringtone.

You can also take another step in customizing your ringtones even more. For example, you may want to assign a separate ringtone for each different caller in your contact list. In this case, you can add ringtones to the Blackberry for unique contact groups. Doing so will help you know who the caller is without looking at their phone number. Just the sound of a particular ringtone will help you know who the caller is.

It is also easy to add ringtones to a Blackberry by simply downloading the ringtone directly to your phone via an internet browser. Another option is to add a ringtone by making a recording of a song or even some sounds that can then be used with the help of Media Manager. These methods will help you add whichever ringtone you wish to use on your expensive Blackberry.
